Mindful Youth Empowerment Program

Mindful Youth Empowerment Program

The Mindful Youth Empowerment Program (MYEP) is a school-based mentorship model designed to re-engage high school students, particularly those struggling with chronic absenteeism, emotional overwhelm, or disengagement.
Through near-peer mentorship, trained young adults meet with students weekly in both group sessions and one-on-one check-ins. These relationships build trust, foster self-awareness, and provide the guidance many young people need but rarely receive in school.
The curriculum integrates mindfulness, identity development, communication, leadership, and real-world readiness, all within a culturally grounded and holistic framework. Local guest speakers and practitioners further enrich the experience, offering students new perspectives and practical life tools.
